The MSI X400 laptop was first announced back in May but has now finally been launched. The MSI X400 is a 14-inch laptop but with an overall weight of just 1.5kg and measuring just 9mm at its thinnest point, this is one of the lightest and slimmest machines in its class. Priced at just £569 (inc. VAT) the MSI X400 laptop has the designer looks without the designer price tag. The design of the MSI X400 is modern, simple and chic with smooth edges and a glossy finish. What’s more, it’s available in two sleek finishes, allowing you to choose either a piano black lacquer look or a pearl white casing.

The MSI X400 is a laptop with a good-sized 14-inch 16:9 aspect ratio screen but in a slim and lightweight chassis, making this a machine you can use at the office as well as on the move. The MSI X400 uses the latest LED backlit technology, which helps keep the weight down, as well as prolong the battery life.

With space at a premium you won’t find an optical drive built in but the MSI X400 does come with a 500GB hard drive, offering plenty of storage, 2048MB of memory, two USB ports, 1.3-Megapixel webcam and memory card reader. Extra features include HDMI, 802.11n Wi-Fi and even Bluetooth, making this a fully-rounded laptop.

The MSI X400 costs £569 (inc. VAT) and is available from October.
