Sanyo announced the launch to the market of 3 new digital cameras after a long time of wait, the new Sanyo products are the X1420, X1220 and S122 digi cameras. The X1420 features a 14 megapixel of resolution with a LCD monitor of 3″ and 28mm mm wide-angle 4x optical zoom lens, also capable of recording HD videos with 720p.

X1420 – highly promising newcomer

The X1420 with a gleaming aluminium body is the highlight of the new digital cameras from SANYO. The 14 megapixel resolution guarantees brilliant photos and every last detail is perfectly captured thanks to the 4x optical zoom and the large 3 inch LCD monitor. Featuring a 28 mm wide-angle lens, the X1420 is also adept when it comes to capturing large subjects. Impressive landscape shots are possible thanks to the panorama mode.

The X1220 and S122 models

The X1220 and S122 models share most of their features – 12 megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom and 2.7 inch LCD display. Unlike their “elder brother” they shoot standard-definition movies with 640 x 480-pixel resolution.

Pricing, availability and warranty

The manufacturer’s recommended retail price (incl. VAT.) is € 149 for the X1420, € 129 for the X1220 and € 99 for the S122. The digital cameras will be available in spring in the following colours:
- X1420: Black (VPC-X1420EXBK), Red (VPC-X1420EXR)
- X1220: Dark Silver (VPC-X1220EX), Pink (VPC-X1220EXP), Black (VPC-X1220EXBK)
- S122: Silver (VPC-S122EX)
